Right so being basically a Hard House/Techno head i wouldnt be as judgmental as a pure bread house fiend. But having said that i do listen to house and i do know what i like, and this i certainly did!
CD(1)
The first CD did it for me, and if it had a different title it would be something like 'mouthy but quality' because this disc is more vocal than Liam Gallagher after a bottle of buckfast to many!
This CD is Phat, Funky and uplifting all smacked into one. Combine that with a continuous groove beat matched with love and affection by subliminals golden boy and you can nearly feel that Ibiza sun on your face!
The man himself Morillo makes an appearance on the track listings with his unreleased track 'waiting in the darkness' feat. Leslie Carter with Harry 'choo choo' Romero on remix duties!
Sure players on this disc would have to be Juliet-Avalon (fuck me im famous rmx) ..which has been getting cained on Radio1 for what seems like months now, and rightly so, this track without a doubt is destined to be a classic, its got 'TUNE' written all over it! Also, Red Carpet-Alright (Brad Carter Rmx) and Proper Filthy Naughty-Fascination, all do the buisness big style!
CD(2)
Disc two is much the same as the first except with less vocal, but even still there is 'no' shortage of sexy sounding ladies giving it sox over some very tasty beats! When this cd hits around track five it is definatly designed for peak time tunage.
The 1997 hit 'Free' by Ultra Nate makes a return with a pumped up Remix from Oscar G with a beat more chunky than Chris De Burgh's eyebrows and the memorable lyrics that you always remember, mainly because back in the day they got stuck in your head for days on end and drove you mental!
Also the very last track is another tune thats been brought back to life, you know the one with the word we've all been shoutin for years 'Aciiiid' ..yeah ya do Even though i was only four when this came out..apparently. Its DJ Dero-1989 (aciiiid) and its been given a makeover with the 'Subliminal Mix'.
Sure players on this disc are Antoine Clamaran Pres. Different drums-NOIZE,
Latin Players-Tribal Attack and Radio1 Mystro Pete Tong and always quality Carl Cox show their production skills with an excellent track called 'More Intensity'.
So if your not going to Ibiza this summer dont worry, slap this in the CD player, put on your shades and shorts, crack a beer, relax and your already there!
..This compilation is quite simply SLAMMIN!
