1 - scaling down of the event to the size of the M50 Exit 15 gig to cater for <5000 to reduce costs and deny anyone a chance to object to the licence, since you don't need one for <5000 people.
or...
2 - the addition of ****** (not full show just a DJ set since he can't get arrested these days..) & Eddie Halliwell (pushing his amazingly original idea to 'edit' the tunes live and make a whole new tour experience,,) for no extra cost..
I have to admit, if they add ******, and Ed-iT to the bill, then it becomes actually good value, and anyone NOT going would be doing themselves..
If they go for [1], then it's egg on faces for anyone that agreed to work for them this year for 150euro, as there will be nowhere to put them, and they will be blanked - enjoy your failure guys.. If it's [2], then there is no contest - the gig will be as important and as act-laden as any of the big Dutch or German events, with the added bonus of some welcome localisation. Then, and only then, will the price be worth it.. As it is, that price is about Double what it's actually worth (taking into account everyone is broke now...)

Life is approaching Fast.. Friday night: looks like Green Velvet is up for being recorded, not so sure if Carl Craig is.. well, the official line is 'no' from him, but we have had him on the sessions before from [insert festival here] so i'm gonna keep niggling to get a 'yes' cos i can.. Saturday i forget right now who is up for the Recording-of, but i guess we'll be doing the show from down there, and maybe sticking out some of the green velvet set from the night before? or something? It's all a bit random at the monent, i just hope the fuc*ing rain stops, because if it's raining, i am coming down with swine-flu that weekend. Festivals are all very well & good, but getting rained on is a message from God.

Ah right yeah, happy days, was just wondering. I'll actually be over in Ibiza working on my tan and preparing myself for 4 months of debauchery while you kids slide around in the mud listening to Kate fuckin Lawler so enjoy.
On the subject of Planet Love though, its some line up for trance fans imo. That Street Life tent is woeful though, for the price of the tickets. Carter, Clarke and Hot Chip then a load of Irish djs. Im in no doubt that Al Keegan, Matador, Giles Armstrong etc will do the business but for the price of the tickets its ridiculous. Obviously its a more trance/hard dance orientated festival but come on to fuck, make a bit of an effort like!

inorote? it's 'comfortable' for trance heads - 2 tents actually with some top, top names, some of which aren't appearing/haven't recently appeared for cheaper up the road/down the road, and a reasonable smattering of win from the hard-dance tent also, but there is a serious lack of 'OMFG', except for maybe when Yoji plays in the sub-trance tent.. that should be hilarious. I was there at Kiddstock 08, and i SAW what happend within 10 seconds of Yoji's first tune - the first 5 rows of people had their DNA re-arranged, and from there it was bleep and bang and exploding chickens. Let's see how the lurrrve arena copes with a weeaboo whopping. lol.
As for the StreetLife thing - not sure what the plan is there, it's all a bit ragged alright. In fact, the whole shop is ragged.. I think it's designed to make people move from place-to-place.. Other festivals (electric mickey, pOxegen) have long gaps between acts on the various stages = so you get bored waiting and you go for a wander, and end up buying spine-in-a-bap and a delicious beer.. I think the same trick is gonna be pulled here, but by arranging the lineups so you have to move about to get the best deal.. And, i'm sure there will be no real clue as to where & when everyone is on, leading to 2 things: you buy a 'laminate' with times and stuff on it, and if a tent decides to pull a 'lushtent-at-homelands' scam. and put on [somebody's mate and their mate] instead of [billed dj] and pocket the moneys, nobody will be able to tell the difference! (idea forms for festival that nobody turns up at, including acts..)
