  • Videomixes & Radiomixes..

So.. You may have noticed the Radiomixes we do every weekend are available for playing for a limited time after use on PLAYER THING.. If you are in the Chat or on IRC during the week you will see a direct download link for this also.. This is the full 2hours of mixing from a weekend - no gaps, no talking, no nothing but a nice 2 hours of the sounds of the now..

Same goes for the Videomixes - these are portable size high quality audio clips of the mix being recorded and will be on PLAYER THING for a while after each weekend, maybe, with a download link available if you ask **real nice** in the chat.. These will be in FLV format - flash video - so won't work on Your stupid fuc*ing iPod or iFail, hahaha, so there, but WILL work on most everything else.. Download VLC and install it to be sure if you cannot get it working immediatly, VLC will install a plugin that will allow PLAYER THING to work for you streaming FLV..

So, enjoy the free content, and LOL at the hoops we jump thru to make the mix every week for You..

Ok, so a little update - it seems playing .FLV (flash video) is waaaaaaaaaaaay more difficult then i expected for some people.. Especially Windows users, so the VIDEOMIX is going to be available on the RADIO SHOWS page to download whenever one is done.. So, go there, have a look, and enjoy

I know th eobvious thing here is to make the clips available in REAL or WINDOWS MEDIA format (WMV) - then You could play them on anything immediatly, but there is something inside me saying NO to this, not only because it is double the size of an .flv, but also because You learn nothing by being handed stuff.. so, there.. go ahead, there are 3 routes you can take if you cannot just watch the clips immediatly:

[1] Download VLC, install it and download the clips , opening them in VLC to view them..

[2] Install VLC, ticking the 'install mozilla plugin' when you do, then watch the clip in player thing or in your browser by clicking on the traffic scone on the Shows page..

[3] get ffmpeg (the fastest video convertor in the west..) and convert the .flv to a .wmv: use this commandline:

    Code:
    ffmpeg -i [the_video_mix_filename].flv [something_you_like].wmv
and make your own .wmv that will play on anything (iPhone, PC, Mac, DVD player, Mobile phone etc..)

There are GUIs for ffmpeg, if you cannot handle opening a terminal window, maybe search for one, but the easiest thing to do is download the ffmpeg thing, extract it to a folder that's easy to get to, like c:/ffmpeg, save the .flv to the same folder, then open a terminal (START - RUN "cmd" in XP), use the cd command to change to the ffmpeg folder ("cd c:/ffmpeg") then issue the command above to do the convertion.. Just issue 'ffmpeg' on it's own for a clue about how to run ffmpeg to do other things.. Yes, it CAN convert from DiVX to FLV to WMV to 3GP to Whatever.. heheheh

Cancel all of that crap above.. well, most of it.. Videomixes are now in the Members Only Navigation list, and have their own page.. There, you can play the latest one, enlarge to fullscreen (etc.) and download Your own copy to treasure for years to come..

      Enjoy looking at our hands..
