Poor old butsie got zinged by the taxman.. remember kids, if a man in a nightclub hands you cash for work you have done, you have to DO YOUR OWN tax.. Ask an accountant, they know all about things like that.

Point is this: A musician doesn't have to pay any tax on income from their music until they earn over €750,000 from it. (Used to be no limit, but Brian Cowen changed that as minister for bringdown in 2005/6)
Now if a DJ could exploit some loophole whereby he/she could get to that "musician" status, then would they be untaxable until they earn over €750,000?
Is there a legal head somewhere in this forum? Or I could be talking shite and all the above is a pleasant trip in the clouds... still though - no tax until 750 laaaj would be worth investigating.
