Here's a post I made on a different board in relation to Wet & Hard - might help!
Wet & Hard has nothing to do with hard-house and it's not prog either. However it is (like anything) completely open to interpretation.
As opposed to being a distinct style Wet & Hard tends to be a fusion of trance, techno and house.
Some tracks have porno samples, as do some tracks from virtually any style of music you can think of.
There are many Wet & Hard DJ's and producers on the international scene, particularly in Eastern Europe, South America, Canada and Asia. Notable examples include Corvin Dalek, Mojado, Eiven Major, DJ Klang, Michael Burian and Angelo Mike. While not household names in this country these and many other Wet & Hard DJ's are massive around the world. Other DJ's have at some point attached themselves with the Wet & Hard label, such as Pete Tong, Timo Mass, Mr. Sam and James Holden.
If anyone's interested in hearing Wet & Hard so they can then make an informed opinion I'd be happy to send some CD's or you can tune into my Club Educate radio show on Spin 103.8fm every Thursday from 23.45gmt. This and next week I'll be counting down the biggest Wet & Hard tunes of 2005!
