here in the winter music conference 2006. quelle suprise, it's full of muppets, wanabees and the usual nonsense and substance sniffers as well as the shape shifters who play tonight with god knows who... boring boring boring... the talk of the town is danny tenaglia who apparently is going to come out publicly in his be yourself session which takes place in the dark room at twist this year ... no, actually it took place last night but we were all too off our heads to even notice that he was there or even playing... actually, i'm going to drop by to the subway sandwich place that he works during the week on tuesday to see if he'd like any new promos. i'll get a beef torpedo if i'm really lucky with lots of mayo. danny is cool. terms and conditions apply. god bless america...

fun in miami - photo 1

this is one of the GREAT day time parties offered at the WMC. We had so much fun that we took this photo and made our excuses and left. There were another two people, the guy on the lefts mother and his father. Up and coming, as they say here, according to his parents... that remains to be seen.

lots of important a&rs and music journos attend the wmc. here's a photo of one who instantly became our friend. he's called dave and works in a local paper in hicksville, texas.

alongside all of the big names there are also many, many djs who attend the wmc and are just becoming famous or want to become famous. this guy was really funny but we don't remember his name and the music he was playing made our ears bleed. he'll be playing in spirit, dublin apparently in a few months. can anyone who recognises please remind us of his name?

this was our favourite party... danny tenaglia's be yourself. rock and roll revisited, there were so many people that it was difficult to move as you can see in the photo. Shana, the girl with her hands in the air, goes to the WMC every year and always has fun. Next year she's coming without her parents as apparently they can be a bit of a 'downer'. Is the girl in the red top having a 'magic moment' or what? WMC outfits: plaid shirts, tracksuits and redtops. In that order. Last photo today, more tomorrow.

i wish i was there - no, really.. apparently Miami had 20% less rain then Ireland last 10 days..
