Fortier mix is quite good in places...I like / play alot of stuff that could be considered "proggy" these days & one of the cool things about this compilation is that its nearly entirely made up of stuff thats been out for a while & that you can get your hands on,except for what seems to be some edits hes done himself to fit the mix. Some might argue that this makes it a bit shit but its not really as unless your a proper full on into that scene you probably wont know any of the tracks anyway

He seems to follow the same pattern on both CD's (there are 3 on the full release, only 2 with the promo tho)....start off deep enough, almost hypnotic in some places (in a good way) & then build it up until it rolls along nicely...standout tracks for me are deffo the last 3 on CD1 - ("D Diggler – Raetselrausch", "1 Up – Yeah Dance To My Record Bitch", "Chk Chk Chk – Hello? Is This Thing On?")

Second disc is the weaker of the 2 in my opinion...just looking at the tracklist for the 3rd disc on another site here at the mo & I wish they'd given that as disc 2 instead....looks alot more tech house based than the other 2 which can be quite deep in places...also some nice electro'y action courtesy of Anthony Rother on the third disc too

All in all not a bad mix...but check out James Holdens Balance 005 before opting for Fortiers Balance 007

        Now....gimme more free stuff....
