did ye record any set's at hi fi????

and! am i the only one that taught MCD didnt put much effort into hi-fi??? the gk arena was plain out, the only place i seen the word "Godskitchen" was on a small sign and the trademark angel......

was nowhere to be seen but a angel that rather looked like a seahorse!

2ndly... where was the 5th arena and tiga and so on and so forth....

i didnt see a single poster anywhere in the country for the gig, the only reason we found the campsite was because we followed a car from mullingar town out to the place.. no sigh posts anywhere.......

what exactly did vip consist of??? was there a vip arena???? nik nack hayze was ment to be there and also hazy b.....
the lads with the programme's were seen once all weekend and at that they could not sell us a neck thingy cos they had no change.... for the love of god the "full irish breakfast cost 8 euro that consisted of 3 half cooked and half rashers, a long misserible sausage and scrambled BEANS!

i must say i was rather pissed off with the organising of this yoke. not dont get me wrong all the dj's and the prodigy did make up for it and i did have a smashing weekend but in fairness..... there was a lot to be said for robbie butler's global gathering last year.rant over

i came accross people wandering the back-passages of the event - clearly ourravit, wearing VIP bands - they were allowed pitch tents in kewl places, and seemed a nice bunch... (funny smell from their tents though.. bit like burning poo...) I think a VIP wristband meant you had immunity from interference??

as for the fifth arena - i only counted 3, and the main stage.. GK was rammo, electric was poor, and the one with the deep-dish 25hour set in it had 3 people and a small dog in it - and the dog was with the sound guy..

the sound overall was fantastic - espesh the electric arena AFAIK, no complaints there...

getting there there was a single "AA" yellow sign in Mullingar, but the venue itself was devoid of branding of any sort - except for the GK "this way" sign behind the scenes.. (as seen in the online vidclip)

i hope we can now finally lay to rest this theory that people will attend a festival to see pop acts play at DJing, or guitar bands - the proof was in the over-subscribing at the GK arena - which could have done with bieng 4 times the size it was..

TRIVIA: THE GK TENT AT HiFi WAS IN FACT THE CATERING TENT FROM "LIVE AT THE MARQUEE" - Somebody neglected to remove the signs glued to the entrance flaps!!
