Jan Liefhebber founded the renowned Highland Beats record label in 1995. Highland Beats is one of the most respected techno labels around featuring many prestigious artists. Jan started up his own record store aged just 20 and helped to set up the techno department of Triple Vision Record Distribution. He is also the brain behind the successful labels Klirfactor, Body Art Form and Highland Beats Limited. Jan currently runs Dataflow Record store in Nijmegen, Holland. Jan initially made a name for his DJ sets at underground parties in Holland. The word soon spread and he broke through internationally, performing more often abroad than in his native Holland. Since then, thing have changed and he has performed at mny of Holland's largest events (Dance valley, Awakenings Festival, Ground Zero, Emporium, Defqon, Teqnology...) Jan is well known for his productions with studio partner and Nimbuz and his remixes are in demand. Recent projects include remixes of the classic tracks "Set up 707" and "Trippin' out" and Hertz' hit "Breaker". He has released on prolific labels including Highland Beats, Klirfactor, Sway, Fresh Grind, X-Trax, Synopsis, Acero and many more. Jan lives for music, which has proved to be the success factor of his labels, record shop and DJ career. Jan Liefhebber is resident of the Technotrixx nights at the Matrixx in Nijmegen.
