england costs a fucking FORTUNE for even the average courses tho

see if you can find somewhere thatll let you take the part 3 exam, but not do the course, if ye get me

then study yourself, do lots of max msp and csound for starters, and build up a nice portfolio, then head to trinity for their masters

or failing that you could do maynooths music technology degree which leads onto a masters

that might be a good idea actually

            programming stuff

youre gonna need max msp knowledge for any further education in music technology

            http://www.cycling74.com/products/maxmsp.html

its an infinitely powerful piece of kit, but not the easiest thing in the world to get into

csound is a free object based programming language used for getting SHIT HOT audio renderings, im talking no fucking flaws in the sound at all here. its also great for getting shit you couldnt program with a synth in a million years

its free too, which is nice

again tho its not the easiest thing in the world to get your head around, but its well cool

there are some really shit hot csound books around, theyre pricey at about 80 blips tho, but worth it

if you use the p2ps you should get some pretty good pdfs on both the pieces of software

also, multimedia seems to be figuring highly in most music tech courses at the moment as well

so get yer head around dreamweaver, php code, flash, photoshop and director

focus on max more than csound anyway

might be a good idea before you go into max, to have a good hard look at reaktor 5 as well
