Tonite (saturday) i return to Longford Town, for the first time in 5+ years, to play BLUE.. Tomorrow, HEATWAVE is on for those of you into cars, and i`ll be on site spinning and drooling at the cars/birds, as will Conor G, Ronan O and the usual assortment of FLUSH BUS hangers-on and personal Braincare specialists.. Next weekend, bieng a Wank-Holiday, it`s a bizzy one.. Friday the 4th for BANG! at rapture in Enfield - Yes, the gig that never was, is, finally, and then Saturday night the 5th is Holbourn STREET IN Sligo for the new Weekly club "bliss" with Pressure fro the opening Night, and then Bank Holiday Sunday it's off down to SOUTH in Waterford, yes, that is right, SOUTH is back online, and to kick things back into shape, I'm Joined By LISA LASHES for the evening.. I remember the old days (tsk..) when this sort of behaviour was the Norm.. Now since DID has dampen'd everybody's squib, it's a shot in the arm to see this kind of activity again.. I guess DIND huh? (yes, we know, we know..)
As for where i have been? Simple, i got another job to add to the list - Writer for the afforementioned FLUSH BUS magazine ( http://www.flushbus.com ) - yes, that's right ,Spring is now writing for a Modified Car Magazine.. Hurrumph.. Well, it had to be done, i need the money after bieng accidentally blanked by the Fanning Show last year, thus renedering the 2FM gig as not enough to get by on, and i do actually like Modding Cars an awful lot.. in fact, TO MODIFY IS DIVINE IMHO, and i am actually enjoying it, so far.. er.. except for the writing bit, which is terribly time-consuming, and actually quite difficult.. Oh, i am up to 30+ WPM now on the Keyboard too.. heheheh.. Preparing my Compo case for RSI soon, in fairness.. Speaking of the Fanning Incident, did i ever tell you why i lost that job? Simple, after the Ibeefah:2oo3 incident, i had to miss work for 10 weeks due to bieng in horse-pistol with my kidneys wired to a machine that goes "ping", and someone noticed the space where i usually stood was clear of obstructions, so they placed a striped plastic ribbon around the area on poles, and the Technical Division started to decomission the space, and prepare it for it`s new function as yet another storage area for surplus thoughts from the (heavily overworked) EVIL BRAIN in the The Catacoombs.. As you should be aware now from previous Exclusives on this site, the RTE catacoombs are similer to the way the world is in MAD MAX - forgotton people tend the Brain Monsters in the spare time they have left over after Fighting for the damaged Pieces of equipment thrown in the Garbage Chute (it`s cheaper these days to just buy new ones you know...) from which they fashion Crude Weapons and Even Cruder Programming for the Offshore RTE stations in Mexico, The Yemen and Greenland.. Anyway, it`s pretty messy down there of late.. the EVIL BRAIN has managed to completely overpower the Lesser NICE BRAIN's Forces, and the fight is now on, mano a mano, brain to brain.. the sound of Laboritory Jars clinking in the distance goes on all nght as they Furiously try to wreck each other's heads in an attempt to dominate the Thought Process of RTE.. The EVIL brain has more stamina, so well after the NICE brain has gone to sleep to regroup, the EVIL lad keeps spouting negative shite, and it all has to be put somewhere, oh yes, fully documented and stored.. and then the documents have to be fully documented and stored, it`s messy.. and we are running out of space... It`s affecting everyone you know.. I heard of one poor girl in the Newsroom then went to Pick her nose to find it totally gone and replaced with a Nasty Reality TV-show idea entitled "Euro-Gay-Surf-Genocide-Star"!! It`s a crap new show where Celebrity's who can`t get a real gig track down War Criminals who are Gay, and make them sing while surfing for their lives!! It`s very exiting stuff really, seeing all those old men trying to learn how to surf while also trying to learn the harmonys for "you took the words right out of my mouth" by meatloaf.. Anyway, it`s no substtute for a nose in fairness.. And when she called The Maintainence Division to complain, they told her if she had been using the Nose, it would have not been decommisioned, and if she wants, they can put in for a new nose for her in the next budget, but it would be a new Digital nose, and she would need to upgrade her face or carry a Convertor in a box on her back that needs recharging every 2 hours.. She went for the Face upgrade, and i hear it`s a bit buggy - she keeps making the "omigod!" face instead of the "i`m listening to you, no , really i am.." face that is so important in RTE.. Anyway, now you know.. If you don`t look busy.......
