Ohmigod - Paddy's day again? Right. tonight is FAIRYHOUSE RACECOURSE for "one", if you are arsed.. Should be interesting, last time i was there was for that festival thing with all the beer, ehhh... what was it called again? SKOLness or something? Ah yes. How we wallowed in the mud. Good stuff. Brng the Mud-Chains just in case. Now, to the SESSIONS on 2FM.. Always looking for contributers, email me if you want to know more.. Bit FYI, this coming Saturday Night/Sunday Morning 19-20 March, we should be joined by AZZIDO DA BASS , KABANJAK and DJ MONEYSHOT in his Solid Steel Radio Show Costume..
And now to the St.Patrick's Day Address.
This Year, more then ever, we need to get out there early and Mallet for our country. The entire world is watching us this next few days, and we must not let them Down! Only 3 events in Ireland get the full Planetwide Coverage treatment - you know, 300 million Viewers, even get to see it on a portable in a shack in the Taiwanese Jungle, blah blah blah - The All-Ireland Hurling Final, The All-Ireland Gaelic Footy Final, and The Paddy's Day Parade. The 2 Gaelic Game Finals are important in Demonstrating to the Rest of the Planet that We Really are Not to be taken lightly.. Not only are we clearly All insane, but HIGHLY skilled to be able to Compete in such a fast and life-threatening Persuit, and still enforce Rules & Regulations & Measures on the whole Proceedings.. Even more impressive is the way the Spectators Respond Instantly and in Unison - like some sort of Great Network of Cognition - Sharing their Eyes and Ears, and feeling the emotion rise and fall with the action.. Add to this the totally Hatstand Commentary,and you can see why The All-Ireland Final is the highest Rated Imported Sports Event in Japan, and has been since it first aired there in 1966 (except the year of the first WRESTLEMANIA where we came third after the live and repeats.. Luckily, the Japanese Absorbed Pro-Wrestling Within a year, and got bored of it, while Gaelic Games still Baffels them..) So, what about Paddy's day then? It`s when we all come together and express ourselves through Zany Theatrics, groovy Pin-On Badges and Alcahol Abuse. How the world marvells at the way we start drinking At brekfast so we are able to have our first "serious" piss as we fall off the bus /train /trolly /wagon at midday in the town-centre of our choice to do the "parade".. As we all know, many of our Brothers and sisters will have to hold back on the booze until well into the afternoon, as they have to walk in the parade.. Some of them may be lucky enough to be piloting the Floats themselves, so they will of coarse be able to have a few swift ones as they go, but it`s difficult to swig out of a 2-litre when you are twiddling a baton or waving a banner.. So, spare a thought for the less drunk then you this year at your local parade, and maybe try running alongside them with Paper cups of Jameson, or maybe a McDonalds Drink Cup filled with RedBull & Vodka so they can stay "refreshed" as they walk in the pouring rain - you know the style, like they do on le tour de france.. Do your bit to keep the Visiting Camera Crews Sozzled too - remember they may be strangers to our Customs, and may not even know how to take a hit out of a Naggin in a tightly-packed crowd without spilling any down their chins/necks.. Now, we must all keep in mind that three is a move on to BAN St.PATRICKs day.. the usual people are winging and moaning about having to work thier holes off on the day - the Emergency Services, Transport Networks and Off-Licences are all Threatening to Strike if we misbehave, even FOX NEWS ran a story on it this week inbetween an item about a Cable-guy in Indiana that eats his customers' pets when they leave the room, and a retraction over the "pope is like brown-bread" story they ran 6 minutes previously as an "exclusive" which should have been a story claiming he likes brown bread.. Anyway, the The Story Basically said Paddy's day was in danger of bieng pulled because of some Leprachaun malfunction, or the rainbow engineers going out in sympathy with the puke-scrapers who were up in arms over the.. (etc.) - but they got the gist of it right - Paddy's Day is FU*KED if we don`t put on a good show this year.. All this "Don`t drink..." and "...don`t beat on one another.." nonsense is seriously messing with the biggest Date on the Drinking Calender.. And we need to really work hard this year if we are to keep up the messing till next tuesday.. Remember, Paddy's day is on Thursday this week.. That means Friday is definatly Out, And then there's the Match on Saturday (there's always a match..),and sunday we'll all be too wrecked to do anything else but drink.. THEN on monday, the Emergency Services and so on get their due 24-hours of state-sponsered drinking to make up for only bieng mildly pissed over the weekend, leaving the rest of us a nice 24 hours to get out story's straight for return to work on Tuesday. Better make that Wednesday. Nah, Fuc*k it, It'll Be Thursday More Likely.. (etc.)
