Riiiiiiight.. There are So many things going on right now, and you know i`d spill the beans instantly if i could - but i cannot.. (sigh) Alot of it would get me into trouble, and the rest is mostly lies / conjecture / vague and irritating.. So. Here is Something interesting I know you will Enjoy. As you may have gathered, Cassette Tapes and Video Tapes are Enuffed.. Stone Age, Limp, Not cool.. Now, whereas Vinyl, reel2reel, 8-Track and LaserDiscs are all Savage, and should be Hoarded and salivated over.. Yes, the Formats Previously Known As MC and VHS/Beta/V2000 are finally bieng laid to rest, in wheelie-bins all over the nation.. CDR and DVD-R have replaced them, and People have been finally nagged into fecking out the boxes of tapes they have not been using since they were recorded.. Oh yes, for Years we have all steadfastly "fu*k-right-off"'d anyone that suggested dumping the tape stash.. but thanks to the ability to squeeze it all onto DVD-R, or MP3, the tapes kinda loose their zing.. The space they occupy becomes "required" for things like - SPACE.. yep.. Good old space. This of coarse, as previously pointed out does NOT apply to the other formats we all wasted our money on, as they are special, and will not be fecked out under any circumstances.. Oh no. No chance. They are in fact unique for thier own reasons.. And they are my friends. Cassettes can go and shite though.. They served thier purpose, and now it`s time to be crushed into numbers and ignored on CDR & DVD-R.. The aim (of coarse) is to crush the lot, and that will take a VERY long time indeed to finish.. So, i am picking out the ones i actually want to listen to first.. Now, be aware that i got my first Portable Cassette Machine in about 1977, and by 1980, i was pause-buttoning myself some very strange stuff.. Luckily, bieng 8 years old-ish meant i couldn`t afford tapes, so i kinda used to 2 or 3 i owned - over and over again! I remember the Buzz i got from buying a new "Ampex" c-60 tape which came in a transparant box! Seriously cool! And it`s from that cassette, 25 years later, i pulled the first Clip in Playthatbeat.net's NEW SECTION - tapes from the attic! Lol! It`s a groovy bit of "Rte-Radio 2", featuring Larry Gogan, and some guy called Paul.. Only a short clip, but worth a giggle! I also uploaded 3 other more meaty chunks for you to gawk at.. A 1983 90-Minute Bandscan done in NewYork Of all the FM radio Stations on top of oneanother, A Summer 1993 DLR Show With Mark Kavanagh, and A Sunset Show With me From April 1994..
