you still use a mixer with ableton

id rather see come cunt who can use unlimited tracks of audio, edit on the fly, and use effects and midi triggered samples, than someone standin round for 3 minutes waitin to mix in another track that someone else made and that every other dj in their style is probably playing the same version of

with ableton the dj controls EVERYTHING, from the length of the intro, to the order of the breakdowns/buildups, to the kick drum, to the bassline, and can chop and change tracks to make edits youll hear there and then and never afterwards

THAT to me is what djing is gonna be all about in the future, not playing some predetermined track off a slab of plastic that you can only do basic basic editing with maximum hassle and time consumption. more control = more originality = more fun for the performer and the crowds
